About the Outback Bowl
The Outback Bowl is a New Year's Day college football game matching teams from the SEC and Big Ten Conference.
Last Year's Game
The Tennessee Volunteers held off the Wisconsin Badgers for a 21-17 victory
in the 2008 Outback Bowl. Vol quarterback Erik Ainge earned the MVP throwing
for 365 yards and two touchdowns.
The Wisconsin Badgers came into the Outback Bowl with an 9-3 record and No. 18
in the BCS rankings while the SEC East Division Champion University of Tennessee
were ranked No. 16. This was only their second time facing Wisconsin in school
history. Their only other meeting was in 1981.

Raymond James Stadium, home to the Outback Bowl,
